Another late night at work, but time, briefly, for another Katherine update. She went down relatively easy tonight. She was pretty fussy when I got home, but the sleep thing, if I keep it in perspective, has been pretty good.

She is growing really quickly. She was 3 months old on Sunday, and she is close to outgrowing some of her 3-6 month clothes. Wow. I knew kids grew up fast, but not that fast. She's totally outgrown all the newborn stuff, but, well, she's not a newborn.

This weekend, we'll be taking more pictures. We're trying to take them every month or so. I look forward to it, because even though she can be a tough subject, she is getting so much more expressive. I'm really hoping I can get some pictures of her wonderful happy smile. That's asking a lot though. Speaking of pictures, if anyone out there wants pictures, please send me an email. We rushed out a few in late January, but are having trouble keeping pace. Bug us, and we'll be happy to oblidge.

I haven't written in awhile because work has been really intense. I've encountered a series of issues that have required round-the-clock attention. I am still deep into it. This is kind of problem as it relates to Kara and Katherine, because it's putting a pretty heavy load on Kara. I was able to help out a bit on Saturday morning and afternoon, and again on Monday evening, but outside of that I've kindof been absent. So I am having to find many ways to bribe her to convince her that this is just a one time thing, it's just going to take some time to clear up. OK, well, that's all well and good, but the truth is I'm in the doghouse.

Anyway, the sleep thing has been going mostly OK with Katherine until tonight, of course. She just can't settle down. We've put her down at least five times and she keeps waking up. She's fussing around right now next to me. I finally took her out of the crib. I'm kindof secretly hoping she'll have a good cry, because I think that might be the release she needs to go to bed, but she doesn't seem to want that. She just wants to be generally grumpy.

Outside of tonight, she's been going to sleep within a two hour window or so every night, between 9:30 and 11:30 PM. But she started to drift out of that window on Sunday, and now I am a bit concerned.

Ahh. Here come's the crying. Good. Gotta go.
