More (or less) horn information

Katherine's steri-strip fell off yesterday while I was at work. Kara called me a little freaked out, but it was right around the time it was supposed to happen. They used disolving thread to sew up the incision, and the steri-strip was just extra protection. So now we can really look at her ear for the first time, sans horn. It looks really great. I didn't know where they would make the cut, but it turns out that they cut vertically right along the seam where the ear meets the cheek. It is really hard to see. In fact, I can't really see the line, although it's hard to get her to stay still enough to check. There is a little redness there, but the surgeon said that would take a number of months to fade away.

So Katherine's horn saga is pretty much over, as far as I can tell. There's nothing we really need to do now. No follow up visits. We'll just kindof keep an eye on it, but she can play and swim and bath with abandon, because the incision is healed.
