In case you were wondering what's up with Dave...
I just got back from 5 days of camping in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. I was up to my neck in preparations prior to the trip, and that's why I haven't blogged lately. I have many stories from the trip, and hopefully some excellent pictures. I also have a new Katherine gallery in the works - I think it's her 9 month jobbie.
Anyway, so that's what's up with Dave. Dave is good. Dave is tired. Dave drove all night on Thursday to come home because it was very, very cold, and packing at night in front of a blazing fire seemed better than getting up in the morning to do the same thing. There was a really hard frost up there on Thursday night. The temperature dropped 5 degrees in 15 minutes during one stretch, from 42 to 37 degrees or so. By the time I left, it was 31, and falling. That was around midnight. I got home at 3:45 AM. I don't mind the cold, but the mornings are hard, and since there wasn't much I could do other than get up, pack, and leave, it just felt better that way. I kept a blog while I was there - the old fashioned kind - a journal in a notebook, and I'll be posting some of my entries over the coming week. Once I have pictures back from the developers, I'll have some really interesting content to put up.
